Is formal A/B Testing Effective?

A/B testing is outdated.

Marketers have been using it for decades, but…

The internet has changed so much that it is rarely effective anymore.

In an AB test, advertisers split their audience in half.

Half, group A, would receive one ad, and the other half, group B, would receive another.

Then, they would run a formal test until they achieve statistical significance.

However, this means that they are turning off their normal campaigns and running a test campaign instead.

They're disrupting their campaign’s normal flow and no longer optimizing their marketing on the test platform.

More and more advertisers are realizing that AB testing typically does more harm than good.

As a result, even the platforms have begun to discourage AB testing.

Though marketers may want to experiment with different ads and keywords, there are better ways to do so.

If you have, did you find the results helpful?
